Job Summary and Qualifications

The staff respiratory therapist must demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of respiratory care, with additional competency in NICU and pediatric patient care. Responsibilities include executing assignments in compliance with hospital and respiratory policies. May work with respiratory students in clinical settings.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care program recognized by the NBRC.
  • One year of experience in respiratory care with documented training in NICU and/or pediatrics.
  • RRT/RCP, CRTT, or LCRT certification/license.
  • State Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist or Technician.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • PALS certification or instructor status.
  • NRP certification.
  • ACLS preferred.
