Coronahealthcenter in Corona, CA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to evaluate, treat, and care for residents with breathing disorders under the supervision of Unit Manager, Director of Nursing, or Administrator.

You will set up and operate respiratory care equipment, monitor responses to therapy, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, effective treatment plans. Strong emphasis on patient care and teamwork within a compassionate, mission-driven facility.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in either Acute or Sub-Acute or Long-Term Care.
• 2-4 years' experience providing direct Respiratory Therapy care to multiple patients/residents preferred; previous experience in acute care respiratory unit or Skilled Nursing environment desirable
• Must have current, unencumbered California Respiratory License credentialed by the NBRC
• Graduation from approved Respiratory Therapy program preferred
• Must have current Basic Life Support certification

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates commitment to company's mission, values and standards of ethical behavior.
• Reads prescriptions, measures arterial blood gases, and reviews resident information to evaluate resident condition.
• Sets up and operates devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators, following specified parameters of treatment.
• Conducts physician prescribed treatments and uses IPPB, oxygen devices, nebulizers to administer prescribed vapors and gases.
• Monitors arterial blood gases, vital signs, and blood chemistry; consults with physician for adverse reactions.
• Performs chest physical therapy including percussion, drainage, and suctioning to mobilize secretions.
• Performs pulmonary function studies to evaluate air movement.
