Job summary

Select Medical in Oregon, OH is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for per diem/night shift. Position requires active CRT or RRT, BLS, state licensure, and ACLS on hire. You will evaluate patients and provide respiratory care for critical and complex cases, including airway management as needed.

The role offers a 12-hour night schedule with minimum two shifts weekly and weekly weekend coverage, plus orientation and potential for advancement within a large interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must possess Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma or high school transcript/diploma/GED.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Overview

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Per Diem/ PRN Night Shift

Location: Oregon, OH

Compensation: $50 per hour (plus shift differential for nights and weekends)

Schedule:

• Night Shift (6:00pm to 6:30am; 12‑Hour Shifts)
• Minimum of Two 12‑Hour shifts per week
• At least Three weekend shifts per 6‑week scheduling cycle
• One major and one minor holiday per year

*This position requires the ability to pick up shifts at both our Sylvania and Oregon locations, as needed.

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
