Job summary

Nexus Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality resident care and treatments as prescribed by a physician. You will operate and maintain respiratory care equipment, document activities in medical records, and ensure adherence to HIPAA and QA guidelines.

The role requires strong clinical knowledge, compassion for patients, and teamwork within a facility setting. Schedule is 7pm–7:30am with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Illinois Respiratory Therapist license or certification required.
• Knowledge of respiratory care practices, physiology, and pulmonary treatments.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Minimum of 1 year of long-term care experience preferred.

Position Overview:

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality resident care and treatments as prescribed by a physician. You will operate and maintain respiratory care equipment, administer patient care, and document the activity in the patient's medical record in accordance with facility policies and procedures, HIPAA guidelines, and Quality assurance guidelines.

Schedule:

7pm to 7:30am

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current Respiratory Therapist license/certification in the State of Illinois
