Accolade Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) to deliver respiratory care, assessments, and interventions for residents. You will work with an interdisciplinary team, monitor and adjust therapies, and provide patient and caregiver education to optimize respiratory function.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credentials required.
• Current license in good standing with Illinois Department.
• CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in Long Term Care or Home Health is a plus.
• Not a remote position.

Responsabilités

Job Summary

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in promoting and restoring patients' health. Your responsibilities include respiratory assessments, monitoring, clinical intervention for patients under our care. This role is designed for a Respiratory Therapist who is confident working independently, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and assisting in the reduction of avoidable hospital readmissions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient evaluation

• Provide thorough medical record evaluation

• Provide appropriate treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of respiratory function possible within the confines of his/her physical condition

• Evaluate, treat, and care for residents with respiratory problems including but not limited to thosewith tracheostomies including the administration of bland aerosols and suctioning

• Evaluate resident care and resident outcomes as they relate to respiratory care; analyze outcomes and make recommendations for changes in the plan of care based upon the analysis

• Recommend and/or provide appropriate treatment and preventative measures to prevent decline in resident's respiratory function

• Management and weaning of supplemental oxygen

• Management and weaning of trachs

• Assist with pulmonary rehab modalities

• Perform all aspects of direct respiratory patient care

• Provide appropriate resident or caregiver education to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of respiratory function possible within the confines of his/her physical abilities

• Operate respiratory care equipment safely and effectively

• Participate in providing staff education

• Maintain appropriate respiratory supply stock

• Assist nursing staff when required

• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

To excel as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT), you will need:

Required Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credentials
• Active license in good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• CPR certified required; ACLS preferred
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred
• Experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a Home Health, LTACH, or any sub-acute setting is a plus
• This position is not a remote position

• Exceptional clinical skills, bedside manner, infection control, and physiological knowledge.
• Proficiency in administering medication and maintaining health promotion and maintenance.
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills with the ability to work effectively in a medical team.
• Multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities.
