Job summary

Lincare in Utah is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join our growing team. You will set up home medical equipment including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP units, oxygen concentrators, and related devices, and educate patients on proper usage.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up home medical equipment and training patients.
• Knowledge of CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, and oxygen concentrators preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safety and proper function.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain complete patient records in accordance with accreditation standards.
• Stay updated on respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed.

This employee is responsible for the setup of home medical equipment, including ventilators, monitors, CPAP/BiPAP units, and/or other related equipment. The employee will also educate and train patients on the proper usage of prescribed equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and provide education on home medical equipment that includes, but is not limited to CPAP/BiPAP machines, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and/or mechanical ventilators


• Inspect, test, and adjust home medical equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and efficiently


• Review prescription and patient information to assess condition and determine suitable treatment administration, compatible with physician orders


• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standards


• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts
