  • Schedule: Full-Time, Night Shifts 6:00pm-6:30am

Responsibilities

Job Summary

This role involves setting up, operating, and managing respiratory care equipment and procedures for diagnosing and treating respiratory conditions in general and critical care settings. Responsibilities include evaluating therapeutic outcomes, transcribing physician orders, performing blood gas analysis, and assisting with various respiratory therapies.

  1. Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators, ensuring airway patency and proper humidification. Assist with transportation of ventilated patients.
  2. Administer routine respiratory treatments and oxygen therapies, educate patients and families, and organize daily tasks for efficient patient care.
  3. Perform arterial punctures, blood tests, and analyze results, reporting critical findings promptly.
  4. Prepare and transport equipment, verify patient identity, administer prescribed medications, and document all procedures accurately.
  5. Assess patient needs and assist physicians during procedures, including emergency interventions and basic pulmonary function testing.
  6. Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring proper sterilization and repair as needed.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: Graduate of a 2-year AMA-approved Respiratory Care program (Required)

Experience: 10 months as a Respiratory Therapist (Required); 6 months for Network float position (Required)

Licenses and Certifications: RCP or RRT license, BLS certification (Required)
