Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, FL is hiring for a Night shift Respiratory Therapist. The role involves delivering respiratory therapy, interpreting ABGs, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support patient care from 7pm to 7am.

Sign-on bonuses and relocation incentives are available for eligible applicants. The successful candidate will hold an Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science, be a licensed RRT with NBRC credentials, and have BLS certification;

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Required BLS/CPR certification and NBRC RRT credential.
• State license as Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
• NRP certification required; neonatal resuscitation training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret evaluations and test results to determine treatment plans with the healthcare team.
• Respond to Code Blue emergencies and provide CPR per AHA guidelines.
• Operate and monitor respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators.
• Ensure safety protocols and proper device setup for efficient patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize patient flow and therapy.

Job Description: Shift: 7pm-7am Sign On Bonus: $15,000 for eligible applicants Relocation Bonus: $5,000 for eligible applicants

Documents and charges for procedures accurately and completely. Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork in assisting with patient flow. Practices standard precautions and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies. Interprets evaluations and test results to determine appropriate treatment plans in consultation with interdisciplinary healthcare team. Responds to all Code Blue emergencies immediately providing CPR according to the American Heart Association and performs other duties as directed. Performs respiratory and oxygen delivery therapies and makes recommendations to the most efficient delivery method per protocol. Obtains, analyzes and reports findings of arterial blood gases and co-oximetry; performs quality controls as needed. Performs airway maintenance including: proper use of manual resuscitators, oral and nasal pharyngeal airway insertion, and airway suctioning. Initiates, maintains, transports, and monitors mechanical ventilators to include basic conventional modes of ventilation per policy and procedure. Utilizes patient assessment skills, protocols, chart review, and confers with multidisciplinary team to determine efficacy of therapy in a cost and time efficient manner making appropriate recommendations and changes per department protocol. Other duties as assigned.

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Required]

Pay Range: $26.33 - $48.98
