Job summary

Ogden Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shifts to provide essential diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care. You will manage ventilation, airway interventions, and aerosol therapies across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.

You will work with a supportive team, access advanced respiratory technology, and participate in ongoing professional development and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Requires ACLS, BLS and PALS within specified onboarding windows.
• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent is required.
• State-registered or NBRC-registered RT credentials required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor respiratory status across care settings.
• Deliver evidence-based respiratory therapies and airway clearance techniques.
• Manage invasive and noninvasive ventilation and adjust settings as needed.
• Educate patients and families; collaborate with physicians and nurses.
• Maintain and decontaminate equipment; ensure infection prevention standards.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Your role will include:

• Assessing respiratory statusby performing focused exams, interpreting breath sounds and airway patency, anddeterminingthe need for respiratory interventions.
• Deliveringevidence-based therapyby providing oxygen support, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other treatments across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.
• Managing ventilation and airwaysbyassistingwith artificial airway placement,initiatingand adjusting invasive and noninvasive ventilation,monitoringpatientresponses, and responding quickly to clinical changes or emergencies.
• Supporting patients and the care teamby educating patients and families, serving as a clinical resource, partnering with physicians and nurses, and helping stabilize newborns during deliveries when needed.
• Maintainingequipment and safetyby setting up,operating, and cleaning respiratory equipment; ensuring readiness and preventive maintenance; transporting ventilated patients safely; and following all infection-prevention standards.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Associate Degree
• (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner, or (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist
