Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to guide patients through routine and critical moments, using diagnostic and therapeutic ventilation across care settings.

The role involves delivering oxygen, aerosolized medications, airway clearance, and assisting with ventilation while maintaining patient safety and education for families, in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care (preferred).
• Minimum of one year hospital-based experience (preferred).
• Licensed/certified in respiratory care as required by state rules and by the NBRC.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status through exams, breath sounds, and airway patency to determine interventions.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosols, airway clearance, and other treatments in ED, ICU, and acute settings.
• Manage ventilation and airway support, including invasive and noninvasive ventilation, and respond to clinical changes.
