Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Respiratory Therapist NICU/PEDS RRT to join a large tertiary care center. You will deliver comprehensive respiratory care with NICU and pediatric specialization, following hospital policies and collaborating with a team of clinicians.

Qualified candidates will hold NBRC CRT/RRT, TX licensure, and current BLS; PALS/NRP are required within set windows. ACLS is preferred per facility policy.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an NBRC-recognized Respiratory Care program.
• Licensed TX Respiratory Care Practitioner; CRT/RRT credentials upon hire.
• BLS required; PALS and NRP onboarding timelines specified.
• ACLS preferred depending on facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care.
• Provide care with additional competency in NICU and Pediatrics.
• Execute assignments in accordance with hospital policies.
• May supervise Respiratory Students in clinical care settings.

Job Summary And Qualifications

It is the responsibility of the staff respiratory therapist to demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care with additional competency in NICU and Pediatric patient care. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for execution of assignments. All care will be in compliance with hospital and respiratory policies. May work with Respiratory Students in the clinical care setting.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Graduated from an accredited school for Respiratory Care, recognized by the NBRC.
• One year experience in Respiratory Care and with documented training completed in NICU and/or Pediatrics required.
• CRT, RRT by NBRC upon hire.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider required
• PALS required within 30 days of hire
• NRP required within 90 days of hire
• ACLS preferred (requirements are facility-based)
