A healthcare provider in Baton Rouge is seeking an Entry Level Respiratory Therapist to deliver respiratory care and ensure patient safety. The ideal candidate will have a degree in respiratory therapy, current Louisiana licensure, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Formación

• One year of experience in an acute care hospital preferred.
• NRP, PALS, and ACLS certifications preferred.
• CPR Certification is required.
• NRP, PALS, and ACLS certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide respiratory therapy and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Monitor patients on continuous ventilation and make necessary equipment adjustments.
• Educate and mentor staff through in-service presentations.
• Assess treatment effectiveness and collaborate with medical staff on patient care plans.
• Adhere to hospital safety and infection control policies, ensuring all equipment is clean, sterile, and ready for use.
• Handle medications securely and accurately as part of respiratory treatments.
• Educate and mentor staff through in-service presentations, serve as a resource for peers, and stay current with professional advancements.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance department operations.

What You Will Do

• Deliver and set up respiratory care equipment, ensuring proper function and adherence to safety standards
• Monitor patients on continuous ventilation and make necessary equipment adjustments per departmental standards
• Assess treatment effectiveness and collaborate with medical staff on patient care plans
• Adhere to hospital safety and infection control policies, ensuring all equipment is clean, sterile, and ready for use
• Handle medications securely and accurately as part of respiratory treatments
• Educate and mentor staff through in-service presentations, serve as a resource for peers, and stay current with professional advancements
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance department operations
• Perform other duties as assigned
