Job summary

Parkside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is recruiting a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide direct respiratory care to residents and supervise daily respiratory activities. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and collaborate with the Director of Nursing and pulmonary providers.

The role requires leadership in coordinating care, supervising staff, and maintaining documentation while upholding quality and safety standards in a long-term care facility.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a License/Degree from an accredited college or university/training program.
• Must have valid License and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the NBRC (must obtain within 3 months of hire).
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer Certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day respiratory care functions in the facility.
• Review and revise respiratory policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with physicians and nursing staff for treatment plans.
• Document patient care activities and ensure charting accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Supervise respiratory staff and participate in quality assurance.
