Qualifications

• Currently Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist, in good standing with the Board of Respiratory Care.
• 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS).card.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP must be obtained within 90 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Initial assessment and ongoing status monitoring.
• Deliver oxygen therapy per physician orders.
• Deliver medications via nebulizer or MDI as ordered.
• Educate patient and family on disease, medications, testing.
• Perform tests such as pulse oximetry, EKG, ABG, Holter, CO2, PFT.
• Assist with airway management and ventilator support.
• Record patient information concisely and accurately in EHR.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; professionalism at all times.
