Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a respiratory therapist to work in the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department. You will provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care procedures for patients in the pulmonary rehabilitation program.

The ideal candidate will need a 2-Year College Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent experience, and must comply with Ohio licensure guidelines. You will also consult with other departments to address patients' respiratory therapy needs.

Scope of Position

The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department houses various multidisciplinary programs and services that focus on primary and secondary prevention and rehabilitation, including:

• Inpatient Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation at UH/Ross/James
• Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation at Martha Morehouse, West Region (Ross) and Outpatient Care East, East Region
• Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation at Outpatient Care Upper Arlington, West Region (Ross) and Outpatient Care East, East Region

This position will provide respiratory therapy diagnostic/assessment or therapeutic respiratory therapy procedures for patients in the pulmonary rehabilitation program and provide consultation to other programs with patients who have respiratory therapy needs.

Position Summary

Assesses the need for, and provides diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care procedures for customers in pulmonary rehabilitation and provides consultation to other programs in the Cardiopulmonary Rehab department.

Minimum Education Required

2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Education Desired

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications

Graduate of a 2- or 4-year school of Respiratory Therapy approved by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board. Must comply with the Ohio Respiratory Care Board licensure guidelines.
