Job summary

HCA Healthcare Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage seeks a Respiratory Therapist to join a collaborative respiratory care team. You will assess patients, plan and implement respiratory therapies, and support airway management. You will participate in teaching and provide high-quality patient care across all ages.

The role emphasizes BiPAP/CPAP, mechanical ventilation, CPR, and emergency response, with opportunities to contribute to education and patient outcomes in a large health system.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS certifications within designated timelines.
• NBRC CRT or RRT credential or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and recommend care plans and treatment regimens.
• Implement and maintain BiPAP/CPAP, ventilation, and related support.
• Maintain airways with suctioning, tube management, and intubation in designated circumstances.
• Draw arterial blood samples and from catheters as needed.
• Provide CPR and emergency care to unstable patients.
• Educate students and staff on respiratory care best practices.
