Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver skilled respiratory care and diagnostics under supervision. The role requires a California RCP license, BLS and PALS, CPI within 30 days, and typically 1 year of experience.

The position supports a hospital serving the Antelope Valley with private rooms and award-winning patient care. It offers a challenging environment and opportunities within the Respiratory Therapy department.

Qualifications

• Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and PALS.
• NRP Preferred.
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
• One (1) year previous experience preferred.
• General education level (high school). One or 2 years post-secondary education program specializing in Respiratory Therapy.
• Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
• Basic organizational and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Medical Director, Director of Respiratory Therapy, and Respiratory Supervisors (and/or designated charge person as indicated). A Respiratory Therapist is responsible to give skilled respiratory care and diagnostics according to the individual patient’s needs guided by policies and procedure.
