Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) for the Lexington region. The role supports ventilator management, aerosol therapy, and arterial blood gas analysis across neonatal to adult patients. Responsibly collaborates with nurses and physicians to deliver high-quality respiratory care.

The ideal candidate holds NBRC-RRT, an active Kentucky license, and BLS; PALs and NRP certifications should be obtained within six months. 36 hours weekly on first shift with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be NBRC-registered as RRT.
• Associate’s degree required.
• Must hold Kentucky state license as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Maintain active BLS certification; PALs and NRP within 6 months.
• Excellent patient care and safety compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilation and non-invasive ventilation per protocol.
• Assess and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation.
• Educate patients and families about ventilator care.
• Follow departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients per age-specific protocols.
• Record and communicate respiratory care results and orders.
