Schedule: PRN

Shift: Days 6:30am - 7:00pm

• AdventHealth Connerton · Specialty hospital for medically complex patients
• Pulmonary and Vapotherm Center of Excellence
• Staff includes all Registered Respiratory Therapists; 65% hold BSN or higher RN degrees; certifications include CCRN, PCCN, CNML, WCNC, NEA-BC, RN-BC
• Onsite BSN completion program partnership with South University with staff discounted rate
• Simulation Lab and Clinical Transition Pilot Program

The role you’ll contribute:

The Respiratory Therapist Advanced performs respiratory care procedures for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. This mid-level practitioner specializes in higher acuity adult care, applies clinical knowledge, initiates and maintains therapy, and ensures safety and compliance with hospital policies and regulations.

• Initiates process improvements and supports clinical instruction and precepting
• Responds to emergencies with CPR and airway management
• Assesses patient needs, reviews protocols, and recommends therapy adjustments
• Performs and reports arterial blood gases, co-oximetry, and other monitoring as ordered

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AMA-approved program by the National Board of Respiratory Care in Respiratory Therapy (AAS or AS)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required or CRT eligible with a 12-month deadline for credentialing
• CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications required
