The Valley Health System's West Henderson Hospital in Henderson, NV seeks a Respiratory Therapist II to provide respiratory therapy modalities and assessments across patient ages, including ICU and NICU settings.

Responsibilities include delivering patient care independently, aligning with department policies, and supporting neonatal and adult respiratory services. Per diem schedule offers flexible hours in a busy acute care environment with opportunities for growth and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Technician/Therapist program.
• One year in adult respiratory preferred. Level 3 NICU experience preferred; RRT, HFJV, Oscillator and Nitric.
• Current State of Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care license; BCLS certification; NRP, PALS and ACLS within 90 days if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy modalities and respiratory assessments to patients of all ages in all patient care areas, including critical care, NICU and Labor & Delivery.
• Perform responsibilities independently and without supervision except as necessary during orientation or training.

West Henderson Hospital is our seventh acute care hospital in the Valley Health System. It is located at the southwest corner of Raiders Parkway and St. Rose Parkway, near the Las Vegas Raiders' headquarters. The 150-bed hospital is equipped to care for patients with a variety of medical needs. Technical Skills

Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department and provide the care/service as described in the department policies and procedures.

License/Certification

Current State of Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care license. Current State of Nevada Blood Gas Technologist or General Supervisor license (or must apply for blood gas technologist license within the first thirty (30) days from hire date). Current BCLS certification; The following to be obtained within the first ninety (90) days of hire date if applicable to specific facility departmental policy and procedure: NRP, PALS and ACLS.

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
