Qualifications

• Active state license as an RCP required.
• NBRC RRT certification or within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification upon hire and current.
• ACLS certification upon hire and current.
• PALS certification upon hire and current or within 60 days.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification preferred.
• Associate or BS degree preferred.
• Two years acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Focus on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care.
• May serve as Lead RCP during the shift.

Education

Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license

Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC or within 3 months

BLS certification (AHA or ARC) upon hire and current

ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) upon hire and current

PALS certification (AHA or ARC) upon hire and current or within 60 days

Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification preferred

Associate or Bachelor of Science degree preferred

Two years acute care experience preferred
