Position Overview

To ensure that Respiratory Therapy services rendered (the evaluation and treatment of patients) are completed in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. Those served include inpatients, outpatients, UHS staff and employees, as well as affiliated UHSH community groups as needed.

• Primary Department or Work Location: Pulmonary Services, UHS Wilson Medical Center
• Primary Work Shift: Rotational
• Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36
• Compensation Range: $33.63 - $50.45 per hour, depending on experience

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy
• CRT credentialed Respiratory Therapist with at least 10 years of experience for Respiratory Therapist 2 eligibility
• Two (2) years of Critical Care/Acute Care experience as a Respiratory Therapist OR one (1) year of demonstrated ability as a Respiratory Therapist I within UHS

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy

Licenses/Certifications

• New York State Respiratory Therapy License
• BLS/CPR Certification upon hire and ACLS within 3 months of hire
