Job summary

Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the Night shift at Sentara Halifax in South Boston, VA. This full-time role offers up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

The RT will deliver physician-directed respiratory care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes across all ages. A degree, state license, and NBRC RRT credentials are required.

Overview

Sentara Health is currently recruiting for Registered Respiratory Therapists to work at Sentara Halifax in South Boston, VA. This role is a Full Time, Night shift position.

Up to $20,000 Sign On Bonus for Full Time Qualified Candidates! Up to $10,000 Sign On Bonus for Part Time Qualified Candidates! Experienced and New Graduates May Qualify Relocation, Moving Allowance and Housing Allowance available to candidates outside of geographic area.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist builds upon the overall pulmonary management in identifying and implementing physician directed respiratory care interventions for an individual or a group of patients. Works cooperatively with nursing and other health care team members for professional respiratory care practice for all patients ranging in ages from neonates to adults in all clinical and ambulatory settings. Responsible for the appropriate age specific assessment and treatment of patients. May have access to, or oversight of Protected Health Information (PHI) in the course of carrying out position duties.

Education

Associates or Bachelor's degree required. Non degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.

Certification/Licensure

State Respiratory license

NBRC RRT

BLS required at time of hire.

For new graduates only, must have State license and BLS at time of hire, and must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months of hire date.

Experience

None required 1 year Respiratory Care experience preferred

Benefits and Compensation

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $37.61 - $55.27 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
