Job description

Like variety? We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide services to patients of all ages with varied cardiopulmonary disorders. This position will be responsible for administering all modes of respiratory care as well as other cardiopulmonary services efficiently and effectively to all age ranges, from infants to adults. Modalities include, but are not limited to, oxygen administration, nebulizer treatment, postural drainage and percussion, ventilator management, CPAP/BIPAP, pulmonary function testing, EKGs, and other specialized diagnostic studies. This position will rotate every 4th weekend and include a rotation of paid overnight call.

License/Registration/Certification Required:

• CRT or RRT certification, or eligibility is preferred. Licensure with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), or eligibility for licensure or temporary licensure is preferred.
• Proof of education through diploma or transcripts documenting degree
• Current CPR certification is required
• ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications are required. If not certified at the time of hire, completion must be achieved within one year of start date.

Experience and Skills:

• One year of previous work experience in Respiratory Care is preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy modalities and theory, understanding of anatomy, physiology, and treatment effects. Knowledge of infection control, familiarity with hospital policies, functions, and procedures is preferred.
