What You'll Be Doing

Assesses, plans, administers, and evaluates patients receiving all respiratory care modalities as ordered by a physician or as delineated by medical center protocols. Actively participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of quality patient care. Provides emergency, critical care, and general care respiratory services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

• Administers diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care modalities in a competent manner.
• Performs diagnostic respiratory care procedures.
• Maintains and monitors respiratory related equipment.
• Assists in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
• Delivers therapeutic respiratory care modalities according to department policies and procedures by processing requests for procedures from patient care units and confirming physician orders in patient charts and establishing a patient care plan for each patient, regularly updating knowledge of techniques and regulations appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• Evaluates the effects of therapies and makes records to the physician. Communicates clearly and tactfully with patients.
• Performs daily checks of resuscitation equipment and emergency oxygen supply.
• Delivers and maintains oxygen equipment as ordered by physician.
• Stocks respiratory therapy supplies throughout the hospital.
• Maintains, cleans, and performs functional checks of department equipment as needed.

What We're Looking For

Full Time Night- 11pm-7:15am Rotating weekends

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current NJ Respiratory Care license required.
• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) or RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist).
• Current AHA BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• One (1) year experience in an acute care/hospital setting preferred.
• Proficient in all areas of Respiratory Care, medication administration, ventilator management, Blood Gas analysis and management.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, attention to detail, self-motivated and able to work in an efficient and effective manner.
