Position Details

This position involves four shifts of 11a-11p and three shifts of 3p-11p. The role includes providing respiratory care, evaluating patient blood gases, and assisting with emergency procedures in a hospital setting.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor’s preferred)
• Current Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential within 1 year for hires post-2004
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP within specified timeframes

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapies as per provider orders and protocols
• Evaluate blood gases and recommend therapy adjustments
• Assist with emergency procedures including intubation and code blue responses
• Maintain and manage artificial airways and respiratory equipment
• Educate patients and families about respiratory care
