Job summary

Apploi is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist for a Skilled Nursing facility. The RT should be licensed in the practicing state, capable of evaluating and treating independently, and dedicated to geriatric care with a focus on functional respiratory therapies.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, initiating therapies, bedside treatments, and maintaining comprehensive documentation, with quarterly in-services for nursing staff and participation in IDT meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Performs related duties as required.
