Job summary

UT Health East Texas in Carthage, TX is seeking a variable-shift, PRN Respiratory Therapist to join our inpatient team. You will provide compassionate care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions under the guidance of the Respiratory Care Supervisor.

You'll work within our advanced facility at UT Health Carthage, contributing to general therapy, critical care, education, and pulmonary services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a COARC-accredited respiratory care program.
• Licensed practitioner by the State of Texas Medical Board.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist with NBRC.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of the Respiratory Care Supervisor and according to specific instructions and established departmental policies and procedures, provides patient care to those suffering from acute and chronic respiratory problems.
• Job duties and responsibilities are related to General Therapy, Critical Care, Education, Processing Control, Pulmonary Services Research, and Leadership.
