Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week) day shift. The role involves applying scientific principles to prevent, identify, and treat cardiopulmonary dysfunction, ensuring optimal patient outcomes under medical direction.

Qualifications include an accredited Respiratory Care program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s), NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist, Ohio license, and BLS; PALS/NRP may be required depending on unit.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program.
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment abilities.
• Excellent communication with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Promote optimal cardiopulmonary function and health.
• Provide Respiratory Care under medical direction across care continuum.
• Develop and implement care plans and disease management programs.
