Job summary

Ascension Health in Brookfield, WI is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to join the Elmbrook Memorial Hospital team on the day shift in a part-time role.

You will evaluate respiratory therapies, educate patients and families, respond to codes, and collaborate with the care team to achieve positive patient outcomes while maintaining safety and quality standards. Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Wisconsin is required; ALS/PALS and NRP are preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board prior to hire date.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation preferred from AAP.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
• Educate the patient and family about the health condition and available programs.
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.
