Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Respiratory Therapist at St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. The role involves day-shift, part-time work within the Respiratory Therapy department, providing assessments and individualized treatment plans with care team collaboration.

The position requires Wisconsin licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, BLS, and preferred ALS/PALS; neonatal resuscitation is a plus. Expect work with respiratory equipment and patient education as core responsibilities.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credential from Wisconsin board required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide and monitor respiratory therapies, administer medications, and communicate progress to the care team.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health, treatment plans, and resources.
• Maintain respiratory equipment and respond to emergencies as needed.
