Job summary

Northcrest Rehab and Nursing in Napoleon, Ohio, seeks Respiratory Therapists to join our night shift team from 7a to 7p with increased wages. You will set up and operate ventilators and gas delivery systems, monitor therapy, and assist patients with breathing exercises.

The role requires completion of a respiratory therapy program and an active state license. Experience of 1–3 months or training is expected, with on-site duties and collaboration with a dedicated healthcare team.

Qualifications

• One to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The completion of an approved school for respiratory therapy.
• Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner License.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates devices such as mechanical ventilators and gas administration apparatus.
• Operates equipment to maintain prescribed therapy parameters and administer meds as ordered.
• Monitors patient vital signs during therapy.
• Assists patients with breathing exercises.
• Observes equipment function and adjusts therapy; communicates with physician about adverse reactions.
• Maintains patient charts with therapy details.
• Inspects and tests equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Orders repairs when needed.
• Demonstrates respiratory care procedures to trainees and other health staff.
