Job summary

• One to three months' related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• The completion of an approved school for respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates devices such as mechanical ventilators and gas administration apparatus.
• Monitors patient responses and vital signs during therapy.
• Assists patient in performing breathing exercises.
• Maintains patient charts with pertinent therapy information.
• Inspects respiratory therapy equipment for safe operation.
