External/eligible candidates (Part-Time status will receive half the sign-on bonus; casual status not eligible):

• 0-1 years of experience = $12,000 (with a 2-year commitment)
• 1+ years of experience = $20,000 (with a 2-year commitment)

UPMC will also cover fees for RRT exam costs for CRTs aiming to become Registered Respiratory Therapists.

Compensation

• CRT range: $24.66 - $42.57/hour
• RRT range: $27.08 - $46.81/hour
• Senior RRT range: $29.05 - $50.28/hour

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies under physician direction.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in Pennsylvania.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT) from NBRC (required before temporary permit expiration).

Licenses and Certifications

• CRTT, RCP, or equivalent.
• CPR certification per AHA standards within 30 days of hire.
