Career Progression

Based on experience, candidates will be placed at appropriate levels:

  • CRT: $24.66 - $42.57
  • RRT: $27.08 - $46.81
  • Senior RRT: $29.05 - $50.28
Your Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care
  • Operate ventilators and therapeutic devices
  • Perform pulmonary function tests and assist with breathing exercises
  • Monitor vital signs, blood gases, and blood chemistry
  • Assist in transport and respond to code situations
  • Interpret clinical data to evaluate treatments
  • Educate and supervise staff and students
Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care program
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in Pennsylvania
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT) from NBRC before license expiration
Licensure and Certifications
  • CRTT, RCP, CPR as per AHA standards
