Job summary

Elevate Care is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Chicago. The role involves managing respiratory care for residents, including oxygen therapy, inhaled medications, and ventilator support.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to implement personalized care plans and educate patients and families. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and flexible scheduling (Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN), with a Daily Pay option to access earnings as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
• BLS & ACLS certification required.
• Clinical experience in respiratory care preferred.
• Strong clinical and critical thinking skills, with patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and monitor residents with respiratory conditions and provide oxygen therapy and inhaled medications.
• Set up, monitor and troubleshoot ventilators for patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory care, treatments, and techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans.
• Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate changes to the team.
• Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies, including code situations.

Your Responsibilities:

Respiratory Care Management – Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions, including the administration of oxygen therapy, inhaled medications, and other treatments.
Ventilator Management – Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators for patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
Patient Education – Provide education and training to patients and their families about respiratory care, treatments, and techniques for managing respiratory conditions.
Collaborate with Healthcare Team – Work with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Monitor and Record Data – Track patient progress, document treatment outcomes, and communicate changes in condition to the healthcare team.
Emergency Response – Respond promptly to any respiratory emergencies, including code situations.

Qualifications:

Current Respiratory Therapist License – Must be active and in good standing.
BLS & ACLS Certification.
Experience in Respiratory Care – Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
Strong Clinical Skills & Critical Thinking – Ability to assess patient conditions and make appropriate decisions.
Compassionate & Patient-Centered Approach.
Excellent Communication & Teamwork Skills.
Ability to Work Independently.
