Job summary

Texas Orthopedic Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist CRT. The role provides cardiopulmonary services per standards, under supervision, coordinating with the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor and Director of Laboratory for equipment supervision.

Responsibilities include selecting and using respiratory equipment, administering therapies, monitoring patient responses, and communicating with the care team to ensure high-quality care across life-span needs.

Qualifications

• TMB respiratory care practitioner license required.
• CRT credential through NBRC required.
• BCLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Experience in hospital respiratory care services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, checks, and operates gas administration, metering and analysis equipment.
• Delivers prescribed respiratory therapies and pharmacologic agents.
• Adjusts treatments based on patient response to IPPB, inhalation devices, oxygen and chest physiotherapy.
• Reports patient status during rounds to nurses, physicians and care teams.
