Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required.
• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Demonstrates competency in the provision of care according to established standards.
• Demonstrates ability to work with pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs medically prescribed respiratory care procedures in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Assesses patient condition and communicates with physician.
• Evaluates appropriateness of therapy and adjusts as needed.
• Documents procedures and patient responses; maintains patient records.
• Maintains and sterilizes equipment and work area; ensures safety and infection prevention standards.
