Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to guide patients through routine care and critical moments. You will administer oxygen, aerosols, and airway clearance, and manage ventilation across acute settings with a supportive team and modern technology.

This role requires NBRC-RRT and state licensure, along with BLS within 30 days and PALS within 6 months. You’ll join a facility with pediatric, NICU, and trauma services, and a strong commitment to patient-centered

Qualifications

Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) required.
State-licensed Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP) required.
Associate degree in respiratory care or related field.
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

Assess respiratory status via focused exams, interpret breath sounds, and determine needed interventions.
Deliver evidence-based therapy: oxygen, aerosols, airway clearance, and other treatments across care settings.
Manage ventilation and airways: assist with invasive and noninvasive ventilation, monitor responses, adjust as needed.
Educate patients and families, support care team, and assist during deliveries when needed.
Maintain and disinfect respiratory equipment, ensure readiness, and follow infection-prevention standards.
