Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory therapy program leading to RRT eligibility.
• Current state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• NBRC RRT credential.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP required per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages ventilator settings and patient care.
• Performs arterial blood gas analysis, pulmonary function testing.
• Supports rapid response and code blue interventions.
• Provides age-specific respiratory therapy to all patient groups.
• Educates patients and staff on respiratory treatments and equipment.
• Maintains documentation of assessments, therapies, and outcomes.
• Ensures proper disinfection and maintenance of equipment.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
