Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory therapy program leading to RRT eligibility.
• Current state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP as required by policy.
• Three years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator settings based on patient condition and physician direction.
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing.
• Support bronchoscopy and other diagnostic procedures.
• Assist with rapid response and code blue events.
• Educate patients and staff on treatments and equipment.
• Lead staff orientation and track competencies.
• Document assessments and therapies in the EMR.
• Ensure proper disinfection and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
• Participate in quality improvement and performance monitoring.
