Job summary

Crosswalk Health in the Charlotte area is seeking Respiratory Therapists (CRT or RRT) and Pulmonary Function Technologists (CPFT or RPFT) to perform simple spirometry testing at primary care clinics.

The role operates Monday–Friday with a daytime schedule, no nights or weekends, and offers flexible 1–5 days per week as a 1099 contractor. You will perform pre/post bronchodilator testing, coach patients, and ensure high-quality results across a regional network.

Qualifications

• Current CRT, RRT, CPFT, or RPFT credential.
• Experience performing bedside spirometry or pulmonary function testing.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and safety.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit local primary care clinics to perform pre- and post-bronchodilator spirometry testing.
• Educate and coach patients to ensure accurate, high-quality results.
• Safely administer albuterol when indicated and monitor patients throughout testing.
• Grade and upload completed testing for pulmonologist review.
• Maintain testing equipment and follow quality and safety standards.
• Build trusted relationships with patients and clinic teams.
