Qualifications

• Current and valid license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialed by NBRC.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care for patients in adult and neonatal care.
• Conduct ECG, EEG, and pulmonary function testing.
• Perform bronchoscopy and other tests as per national standards.

The Respiratory Therapist for Northside Hospital's Choice+ Program regularly performs respiratory care for patients in adult, neonatal care, and/or outpatient CPAP centers. Employees may perform ECG, EEG, pulmonary function testing, & bronchoscopy, and any other testing as deemed within the scope of practice by national standards.

REQUIRED

1. Current and valid license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the Georgia Composite Medical Board.
2. Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program with an Associate's degree.
3. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
4. Applicants must have at least two (2) years of current experience post-residency/new graduate orientation in the clinical areas in which they will be working.
5. Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardia Life Support (ACLS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) by the American Heart Association.
   • NRP is only required when rotating to the NICU or attending deliveries.
6. Minimum of one year of experience with non-invasive pressure devices. (CPAP Department Only)

PREFERRED:

1. A minimum of one (1) year of travel experience with an external or internal agency program (excluding float pools).
