Job Summary: Geisinger Medical Center Danville is offering a full-time Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) position with a $15,000 hiring incentive for eligible candidates, shift differentials up to $5.50/hour for evenings, nights, and weekends, and a starting rate of $25.60, with higher rates for experienced individuals.

Job Duties
  • Assess patient respiratory care needs based on data; plan, organize, perform, and evaluate treatment modalities.
  • Perform and document thorough patient assessments and establish care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with the care team.
  • Perform routine therapeutic modalities and assist with artificial airway care and maintenance.
  • Manage mechanical ventilators according to protocols.
  • Provide patient and family education on disease management.
  • Assist with intra-hospital transport of ventilated patients and manage acute airway situations.
  • Adhere to safety standards, institutional and national care standards.
  • Collect arterial blood gases and maintain patient confidentiality per regulations.
  • Assist with fiberoptic bronchoscopy and invasive line placements.
  • Support intra-hospital transport of diverse patient groups.
Position Details

(.9) FTE, 3 twelve-hour shifts weekly, with rotation of day/night and holiday/weekend shifts. Both experienced RTs and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist and Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC)
