Lifepoint Health's Ottumwa Regional Health Center is hiring a Respiratory Therapist for the Ottumwa, IA area. This full-time night shift (7pm–7am) role includes a $15,000 sign-on bonus and responsibilities across ED and ICU ventilation, ABG analysis, and patient education.

Qualified candidates are Certified Respiratory Care Therapists with current state licensure and will collaborate closely with physicians and care teams to deliver comprehensive respiratory care across all ages.

Qualifications

• Certified Respiratory Care Therapist credential.
• Valid and current state license in Respiratory Care.
• Experience with high-risk deliveries, ABGs, and ventilation management in ED/ICU would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop and implement respiratory care plans with physicians and the health care team.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and therapies.
• Attend high-risk deliveries; perform ABGs; manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation in ED and ICU.

Position Summary:

Assess, develop and implement treatment plans by collaboratively working with physicians and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care for all ages. Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and medications. Attend high risk deliveries, perform ABG's, administer and manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation in ED from neonate to adult, and in adult ICU and work independently with high level critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
