Job summary

Virtua Health in Egg Harbor Township, NJ is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT eligible or new grads) for a part-time per diem role. You will perform assessments, develop care plans, administer treatments, and support patient education on respiratory therapies.

Holds licensure as a NJ Respiratory Care Practitioner, with BLS and ACLS within 6 months of hire. The schedule covers the first shift in a hospital setting in South Jersey.

Qualifications

• RRT eligible or new grads accepted.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire is required.
• New Jersey licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and develops individualized respiratory care plans.
• Administers treatments/medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Demonstrates competency in invasive and non-invasive ventilator care.
• Conducts Blood Gas procedures and related lab tasks as location requires.
• Provides patient and family education on medications and wellness strategies.
• Sets up, operates, and maintains medical gas delivery and humidification systems.
• Documents patient care activities in the electronic medical record.
