Job description

Respiratory Therapist - Beverly Hills Rehab PT (Healthcare)

Receive and follow schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  1. Adhere to established policies and procedures of the facility.
  2. Perform focused interviews to identify patients' needs.
  3. Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiological and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
  4. Collect, analyze, and interpret data from healthcare team members and document diagnoses.
  5. Plan care outcomes for assigned patients.
  6. Perform interventions according to priorities, plan of care, hospital policies, and patient care standards.
  7. Follow emergency, safety, and infection control procedures.
  8. Promote effective interpersonal communication and develop good rapport with staff and other departments.
  9. Report changes in respiratory status to the appropriate medical personnel prior to leaving the facility.
  10. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and report any violations.
  11. Assume administrative authority and responsibility for assigned duties.
Supervisory Requirements:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:
  1. Associate Degree from an accredited school; respiratory care program graduation required.
  2. Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
  3. Minimum one year of respiratory experience in acute/subacute settings preferred.
  4. Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license, CPR/BLS, and ACLS certifications.
  5. Knowledge of office equipment and good communication skills.
Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift/move up to 30 pounds, sit, stand, walk, and perform related duties. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

Work Environment:

Low to moderate noise level. May assist in evacuations. Reasonable accommodations provided as needed.
