Job summary

Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a part-time respiratory therapist (per diem) to provide direct patient care in respiratory therapy. You will consult physicians, act as a resource for nursing staff, and perform duties as assigned.

Expect responsibilities across the spectrum of respiratory care, with opportunities for 4-, 8-, or 12-hour shifts. RRT/CRT credentials are required, with PALS and ACLS for ER staff. A current MO license is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license as per state.
• NBRC credential (RRT or CRT); PALS for ER; ACLS is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience, excluding orientation.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and related activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult physicians on the effectiveness of therapy.
• Act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.
• Operate all appropriate respiratory care devices as assigned.
