Job summary

Summerlin Hospital, part of the Valley Health System and owned by Universal Health Services, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver modalities and assessments across all ages, including critical care, NICU, and Labor and Delivery. The position requires graduation from a CoARC-approved program and one year in acute/critical care.

The role also requires NBRC RT credential, Nevada license, BLS and ACLS, with PALS/NRP within 90 days if applicable to the facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapist program.
• One year in acute/critical care respiratory therapy.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Current Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care License, Nevada Blood Gas Technologist (minimum).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified by the American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certifications within the first 90 days of hire if applicable to the facility.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of respiratory therapy modalities and respiratory assessments to patients of all ages in all patient care areas, including critical care, NICU or Labor and Delivery.
• Perform responsibilities independently and without supervision except as necessary during orientation or training.
