Aspen Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is hiring a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time 32-hour, four-day work week. You will perform assessments, develop treatment plans with the care team, and manage ventilator-dependent residents while ensuring accurate documentation and patient education.

The role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based care in a sub-acute and long-term care setting, with a focus on quality life for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Current state licensure required.
• Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive chest assessments and respiratory examinations for residents.
• Develop and modify prescribed treatment plans with physicians and the team.
• Conduct diagnostic testing including lung function and blood gas evaluation.
• Administer therapies such as oxygen, aerosols, and chest physiotherapy.
• Monitor ventilator-dependent residents and initiate support when needed.
• Educate residents and families on treatments and equipment use.
• Maintain thorough documentation of care and progress.
